The International Congress "Forest Management and Innovation for a Carbon Neutral World" is shaping up to be a must-attend event for experts, authorities and stakeholders in the forestry and environmental sector. Organized within the framework of the ambitious European Life Token CO₂ project, it will bring together leading speakers and professionals to share experiences, research and innovative proposals aimed at offsetting emissions through sustainable forest management.

During the conference, two fundamental axes will be addressed: emissions offsetting and forest management. Participants will present and discuss advanced methods to increase CO₂ sequestration through strategic interventions in forests. Innovative treatments that, in addition to absorbing carbon dioxide, contribute to reducing the risk of fires will also be presented.

One of the most anticipated aspects of the congress will be the presentation of a pioneering digital tool that will make it possible to accurately calculate CO₂ uptake in forest stands after specific interventions. This platform will also facilitate the registration of business emissions and the development of environmental compensation plans, representing a breakthrough in the management and certification of climate-friendly actions.

The congress will be attended by renowned authorities and experts, such as Juan María Vázquez, Regional Minister for the Environment, Mar Menor, Universities and Research of the Region of Murcia, who will highlight the public commitment to innovation and environmental protection; María Isabel López Aragón, Regional Minister for Enterprise, Employment and Social Economy of the Region of Murcia; and María Dolores García Mascarell, President of the Catholic University of San Antonio.

Life Token CO₂: A European bet for a sustainable future
The Life Token 2 project has the following partners: Digiltea, Orthem, UCLM, UCAM, SGS and CARM. With co-funding of close to 3 million euros granted by the European Union through the Life program and valid until 2026, it will be implemented in several plots distributed in the autonomous communities of Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia. This initiative not only seeks to mitigate the effects of climate change, but also to set a precedent in the development of environmental policies and the implementation of digital tools for the conservation of
forests.

The celebration of this international congress intends to promote collaboration between the scientific community, the technology sector and public policy makers to develop innovative solutions to climate change. With initiatives such as Life Token CO₂, the commitment to sustainability is reinforced and a solid foundation is laid for future environmental regulations in the European Union, promoting a healthier and more resilient planet.
